This pants was a hit the first time I saw it on the now cancelled/failed MTV show “The City”. It was a scene where that beautiful yet totally overrated and sycophantic Olivia Palermo visited Prabal Gurung’s showroom “I love you’re work. You’re so talented. Dear Friend this and that… ” bla bla bla and then the pants was featured in an Elle segment on Martha Stewart’s Show bla bla bla something disjointed like that. Oh, just watch the series! I could NOT be bothered to transcribe. It was as daft as it was entertaining.

However, the most important thing about that episode other than my growing dislike for the character Ms. Palmero played at the time was that Martha Stewart and I loved the same pants! The ribbon embellished pants was made in a bright blue (crayola bright!) colour which would have been such a great buy in 2010 since it is so on-trend right now.

So Prabal , an amazing designer in his own right reworked some of his best pieces for a small, extremely limited J-Crew Capsule collection. I am sure the First Lady will be comped some of this awesomeness. I only featured a few of the lookbook shots but as you can see it is fun, fresh and modern. The price points are great and they range from $198 – $450.
