First up, Chanel with my favourite collection to check out each resort season. I think Lagerfeld gets the cruise season right, always. Not particularly happy with all the granny dresses he has put on display recently from Spring/Summer BUT he does cruise the way I want to imagine it every time. Check out the excerpt below as he speaks about this years offering in Cannes.
“It’s about dressing down these very sumptuous looks, about easy elegance,” the label’s uber-designer, Karl Lagerfeld, told The Associated Press in a post-show interview.
“This is about the women of Cannes, women who mix bathing suits with real pearls and diamonds,” Lagerfeld said. “After all, you can’t wear fakes into the water.”
Also peek a look at the short story “The Tale of A Fairy” directed by Karl Lagerfeld starring my fave model Freja getting her nekkidness on. It looks interesting but I always find fashion films disappoint me. They always end up kind of *womp* *womp* *womp* in my eyes.
