Fashion Straight Up!’s NBCAM Awareness: MONDAY Pink Item of the Day

I’m not a huge lover of the colour pink but for a worthy cause I’d be the easter bunny if I had to. National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is beyond more than worthy. I love my breasts. I am a woman and I CELEBRATE them unabashedly. I cannot imagine my life without them and there are thousands of women around the world who live the reality of not having  them daily. They are the survivors and in their honour. I do this.

Today’s cute pink thing is a Marc Jacobs paisley scarf from The Outnet.Com. It will add the perfect bohemian touch of colour to any outfit. This scarf has been marked down 50% to $75 USD.  I say that is a steal and you should click on over and grab this before it is completely sold out.

Support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) educates women about the importance of early detection for breast cancer. Since NBCAM’s inception, mammography use has doubled, and breast cancer death rates have declined. Still, many women do not utilize mammography at regular intervals. In recognition of the fact that mammography is the best available method of detecting breast changes that may be cancer, long before physical symptoms can be seen or felt, and that breast cancer deaths could decline further if all women age 40 and older received mammograms at regular intervals. Fashion Straight Up! Blog , does hereby proclaim October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  I urge all women and their families in around the world to get the facts about mammography.
